HORIZON Report Manager/Web Portal is a web-based information delivery platform that satisfies the requirements of HORIZON data consumers for real-time reporting in a secure, timely and cost-effective manner. The Web Portal will be branded with the look and feel of your laboratory’s existing corporate site. HRM includes a "single-sign-on" security layer that authenticates users and security roles directly from HORIZON and controls which reports your customer can view, download and run. HWP also includes predefined queries for your customer to view sample status and other details about their samples in process or those previously reported.

The Web Portal Data Tool provides our laboratories’ clients with a secure, interactive interface to query samples (belonging only to an individual client) that have been submitted to the laboratory.  End users can focus their queries on samples from various stages including Collected, Received or already Reported by the lab.  Each of these various stages of the sample lifecycle can be further filtered by broad or specific date ranges to produce a real-time snapshot of sample status.

Users have access to a broad range of information that is relevant to each sample, such as Identifiers (both submitter and laboratory), Status, Results, Turnaround Time and Workorder numbers.  Each of these fields can be used to further filter data and allow for deeper data analysis.  Users can create and save multiple filters to simplify future inquiries.

The Web Portal was designed and built to be branded with a laboratories unique look-and-feel or to be seamlessly integrated into a corporation’s application stack.  Typical customizations include replacing banner images with corporate ones, replacing address and contact information, or enabling/disabling specific pages from being accessed.  Typical customizations such as these require minimal expertise and are well documented (with pictures) in our Web Portal Administrator’s Guide.

Other customizations that have been accounted for include the ability to modify individual page content and look-and-feel (may require HTML/CSS/JSP modifications).  Administrators can also show/hide report content using our Management Console’s user/role based security interface.  The Web Portal can be further integrated into other corporate web sites by leveraging our Single Sign-On mechanism.  This allows trusted web sites to securely exchange encrypted tokens that enable users to bypass the Web Portal login screen with a single click. 

The Web Portal’s dynamic web content is provided by an API of web services and all pages are served by the industry standard Apache Tomcat application server.  This Service Oriented Architecture provides the Web Portal sufficient flexibility to be served in a secure HTTPS environment or in a distributed DMZ.  Each configuration has been thoroughly tested and verified by a 3^rd party to be secure.  Our Documentation, in-house Support Staff, or Professional Services team can provide the guidance and expertise needed to handle any unique integration requirements that exist within your corporation.
