Backed by a 20+ year proven product life, HORIZON® LIMS is delivered with a rich set of off-the-shelf methods, workflows, interfaces, and reports -- all of which can be customized for virtually unlimited site-specific extensibility. HORIZON is cost-effectively deployed in small specialty labs as well as large, multi-disciplinary lab networks, in either a centralized or distributed database configuration. HORIZON is available under the traditional perpetual use licensing model (on premise or hosted at a SSAE 16 certified data center) or as an on demand/software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription. The hosted and SaaS platforms are offered with a managed services option, enabling complete outsourcing of LIMS-related IT resources and infrastructure. HORIZON users include the largest investor-owned U.S. water/wastewater utility; the largest generator of electricity in the U.S.; the country's second-largest private environmental laboratory network; numerous state public health labs; and one of the country's two World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) laboratories.
HORIZON LIMS combines the core features of an ASTM-compliant1 commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) LIMS with all the industry-specific functionality required by the most highly automated laboratories in the environmental and human health and safety sectors (1ASTM E 1578 – 06, Standard Guide for Laboratory Information Management Systems). Specialized functionality, such as enterprise document management, electronic laboratory notebook, client web portal, statistical analysis, remote field data collection, and instrument interfacing are provided through integrated modules.
HORIZON complies with Good Automated Laboratory Practices ("GALP," EPA Directive 2185) and all LIMS-related regulatory mandates, including NELAC, CLIA, CAP, AIHA, HIPAA/HITECH, and SAMHSA.
